With the NHL strike looming around the corner Getrealhockey.com; our readers have a hunger for hockey content that is in short supply. The writers at Getrealhockey know the feeling so we thought we would start a series profiling some of the world’s most famous hockey fans. We want to kick off these profiles off with a look at Habs super fan; George St-Pierre. When George St-Pierre appears on the jumbotron at Montreal’s Bell Center; Habs’ fans go bananas and you can feel the buildings foundation shake and sway.
Everyone who doesn’t live under a rock has heard of George St-Pierre. The man is a bona fide UFC legend who has inspired a truckload of current and future MMA fighters.
The Quebec native is an icon throughout the world and he is sits on top of a pedestal as a role model of absolute fitness and determination. Born in 1981 , GSP (as he is known to his fans) has fought in some of the classic UFC matchups of all-time. The man has successfully defeated some of the biggest names in the UFC on a regular basis making him one of the best pound for pound fighters to enter the octagon.
A quick Google of GSP will blow your mind. What really stands out for this champion is the man’s level of fitness. Photo ops during GSP’s training sessions and his success in the ring can be attributed to his training regimen. He has taken all this knowledge and created GSPRushfit.
The site and the program have been a huge success. Tons of his fans have already checked it out. This exercise program is available North America wide and it seems ready to storm the world. The things that put GSP on top of the UFC will no doubt put him on top of the fitness business.
I personally love this guy. He is a great role model for everyone. You don’t need to be a UFC fan to appreciate that he succeeded by the strength of his own will power and his ability to focus on a goal. I am a Habs fan so I can’t wait to see him back on the jumbotron at a Habs’ game. In the meantime, some of the Habs might even want to check out GSPRushfit during the coming strike.
